Submit advertising

You can find the updated advertising rates for our publications in each magazine's website. If you wish to contract advertising in any of our magazines, please contact us by phone, fax or e-mail.

Delivery conditions of advertising material for our publications:

We will ONLY accept advertising material in digital format according to the requirements below. In the case some material is submitted in the form of original/paper or slides the customer will be charged due to high resolution digitalisation.

To avoid problems and ensure the correct publication of your material, we suggest you provide a TIFF or EPS of the final artwork in real size plus a 3 mm bleed on each side, in CMYK (four-colour), at a resolution of 300 pixels per inch (ppi) and without any kind of compression, which for an original DIN A4 must generate a file of between 35 and 50 megabytes.

In any other case, the following indications will apply:

  • Programmes: FreeHand, Quark Xpress, Photoshop or Illustrator, preferably for Macintosh.
  • Images: TIFF or EPS in CMYK at a minimum resolution of 300 ppi in real size for publication, plus 3 mm bleed on each side.
  • Typographies: all typographies used that are not traced must be accompanied by their fonts for screen and printer in Macintosh format.
  • DVD, CD or optical disk. If the file is smaller than 10 megabytes, it can also be sent it by e-mail and, only in this case, compressed in JPG maximum quality, Zip or Stuff-it.

The material will always be accompanied by a sample of colour print. In case of doubt do not hesitate to contact our graphic department. Thank you.

SUBMIT ARTICLES

Standards to submit an article for our magazines.

IMPORTANT: These rules do not affect (although they are good guidelines) collaborations such as company news, brief descriptions of new instruments and equipment, programmes of acts and congresses, fairs, exhibitions or meetings, book reviews, opinion articles, etc.

1 Acceptance

All work submitted on electronic support along with authorisation for publication to our Editing Department, by conventional or electronic mail. Once the work has been surveyed by the Editing Committee, the receipt will be sent along with acceptance or non acceptance of the work. All collaborations will be returned (if the authors wish so) in the case its content does not fit the subject matter of the magazine.

2 Text editing and presentation

All works will be written in Spanish and will not exceed the equivalent of 15 DIN A4 (without counting graphs, charts, images and so on). The fragmented publication of more extensive works will be studied.
Please use the most common editors. Failure to send the texts on computer support might imply that the publication of the work would be delayed, with possible involuntary errors in retyping the text. In any case, a hard copy of the work is always requested.
If the work includes images or photographs, these are requested to be provided in separate files (as JPEG, EPS or TIFF) and must be scanned at a minimum resolution of 300 ppi. The header will include the title, the name and the surname/s of the authors and the centre or company (as the case may be) where the work has been done. All articles will be accompanied by a summary that indicates the object of the work, some experimental detail, if necessary, and all conclusions reached. If possible, the title of the work and this summary will also be included in English.
The bibliography will be included at the end of the text, numbered correlatively and consigning each quote with the surname and initials of the author, year of publication, title and name of publication. The numerical references in the bibliography will be written in brackets within the text of the work.
All captions of graphs, figures and photographs will be presented together, by order and in a separate paragraph at the end of the work.

3 Tables, graphs, charts, images

Maximum cleanliness is requested in making tables and graphs to achieve a reproduction of the original as faithful as possible.
The graphics (diagrams, sketches and drawings in general), if not presented on directly reproducible computer support, are preferred in this order:

  • well-printed reproductions
  • originals on paper
  • high quality photocopies, always in sizes equal to or larger than those desired for publication and bearing in mind that the most important factor is the contrast of the images.

The photographs, if not transmitted on computer support or by e-mail, are preferred in this order:

  • copies on black and white or colour photographic paper
  • slides or transparencies in black and white or colour
  • well-printed reproductions.

Tables, drawings and charts will be presented at the end of the article. Their numerical references will appear also in the correct place in the text.

4 Copies for the author

The authors will receive a free copy of the magazine where their work has appeared. If they want more copies up to 10 they will state this in the letter accompanying the work. Other conditions to send more copies on request of the authors will be studied.
